The BBC website today featured a photo of Ricky Gervais with his canvas at the Dog Project auction. The sale of his canvas raised £2,200 for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

You can visit the Hospital Gallery to view the entire collection of dog canvases, and bid on the remaining canvases at the gallery or via the Dog Project web site, until the 7th February.

Kate Silverton is an experienced, trained Broadcast Journalist specialising in news and current affairs. Kate is part of the BBC’s Breakfast team and continues to co-present BBC News 24.

Today we launched Kate’s official web site. The web site requires the Flash 6+ plugin and makes use of RSS feeds to display current news and related photos.

Ben Fogle

Ben Fogle was born in 1973, the son of actress Julia Foster and broadcast vet Bruce Fogle. He spent a year on the remote island of Taransay, where he and thirty five other men women and children became totally independent and self sufficient.

Ben returned to reality as the roving correspondent for a glossy magazine. Assignments took Ben to Japan, the Falklands, Nepal, Zambia, Bali, East Timor, the Arctic Circle and Barbados. Ben was also a regular presenter alongside John Craven and Michaela Strachen on BBC 1’s Countryfile and BBC 1’s Animal Park with Kate Humble.
